NOW BOOKING SUMMER STEELHEAD TRIPS!!!

A beautiful North Umpqua hen that couldn't resist the dry fly!!!

It is that time of year again that we put away the weighted flies and heavy sink tips and start thinking about skating dry flies on warm summer evenings. If you have not given our summer fishing a try, do it! The North Umpqua is truly one of the sports real treasures. Come experience maybe the most fabled section of steelhead fly water in the world - and better yet, come do it while you can fish in T-shirt!

Last Days!

Three glimpes of a late season winter trip. The last days of the '08 winter season brought some good fishing and some beautiful late winter fish! As you can see from these 3 chrome hens from Beth's Brunswick's trip in April, we continued to get new fish well into the spring this year.

I thought I would share a few pics from a great fall day I had with Greg Johnson and his 10 year old son Cody. Greg is one of those people who fishes with me regularly that has become more than just a client over the last few years. It was a real pleasure to be on the water with his son for the first time. Cody was an instant pro with the spey rod and waisted no time hooking and landing his first steelhead. That ended up being only 1 of the 3 fish he caught that day. Not bad for his first steelhead trip! My only fear is that now he is hooked for life and I will be competing with him as a guide in about 10 years. Thanks again guys - see you this winter Greg.
